Final meeting of Event Management/ selection committee conducted. All participating students are going to be sorted out on December 23 as well as rehearsals will also start on the same day. Thanks to all students who are participating in the event. • BSCS/IT 2007-11 5th Semester Mid-Term exam came to an end and their classes started after Mid-Term exam from Monday, 6 December 2010. Students of BSIT 5th Semester are directed to take their classes.

• BSCS/IT 2008-12 3rd Semester Mid-Term exam continued. The paper of Monday, 6 December 2010 postponed due to unspecified reasons.

What a comfort! Jump out of airplane in a few meters from the ground, namely jump right into the sea… and annual leave already starting! WOW! It’s very practical! Bags leave in the plane. However, they may have to wait at the airport. It is so close. It is important to take good ransom and enjoy the benefits of summer vacation.Albeit a little loud holiday. But who cares. :)

Maho Beach is a beach situated in St Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles, on the Dutch side of the island. The location is known worldwide because of the Princess Juliana International Airport that is situated immediately adjacent to the beach.

 

Incoming air traffic is known to have to touch down as close as possible to the beginning of runway 10 due to the short runway length of 2,180 metres/7,152 ft, resulting in low-flying aircraft on their final approach over the beach. Due to these low flying airplanes (including large passenger airliners such as the Boeing 747), the location is very popular with plane spotters.

According to a news, HEC and Government agree on some points on Universities Funds Deduction Conflict's Solution. Government agrees to issue funds for 50% increase in University Employs and Teachers as well as issuing funds for completed projects. No new scholarships will be provided from now onwards.

Look look look, THIS IS DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT. where students are forced to leave education. Interesting and sad as well.

University of Balochistan will remain close on 22nd September as a protest to HEC Universities Fund Deduction all over the Pakistan. All Universities of Pakistan are going to start protest against HEC's this actions. Furthermore "Govt. has also stopped funding of all the students who are studying in foreign Universities on scholarships and no new scholarships will be provided from now onward". A meeting of VCs of all the Universities of Pakistan with Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh was conducted 2 days ago to solve this issue. VCs warned that if required funds were not provided, they are going to "shut down" universities. 

Many of the students who are studying abroad are being strongly influenced by this act of the Government and they are to beg for their fees from local people of the countries in which they are studying scholarships and not having funds for their fee payment.

BSIT 4th Semester's 3rd class of STATISTICS and Probability was conducted on Wednesday April 21, 2010.

Convocation Cancelled....

University of Balochistan's 10th Convocation Ceremony has been canceled due to unknown reasons. The Convocation was to be held on April 21, 2010.

IT-4 Shining Star Award Certificate distribution ceremony....

An internal ceremony for distribution of "Shining Star Award Certificates" among IT-4 students was held in Deptt: of CS & IT on April 20, 2010. The ceremony was conducted by the students of BSIT 4th semester. Certificates were distributed by Madam Shafaque Saira Malik to a number of IT-4 students.
  Moreover, the party was also joined by Madam Aasia Rasheed. Later on, the students had a photo session with both the lecturers.

Mid-Term Examinations of IT / CS-2.....

Mid-Term Examinations of BSCS / BSIT 2008-2012 are in progress.

IT-4 Class of OOP.....

IT-4 Class of Object Oriented Programming was conducted on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
Topic was "LOOPS in C++".

IT-4 Class of OS......

IT-4 Class of Operating System was conducted on April 19, 2010. Topic was "I/O Interrupts"

UOB expected to remain close.......

University of Balochistan is expected to remain close on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 on account of 10th Convocation Ceremony.

UOB will remain closed.....

BSIT 4th semester classes of Organizational Behavior (out of the schedule/ alternatively to OS) and OOP were conducted on Monday and Tuesday, 12 and 13 April respectively.

Class of Statistics and Probability of IT-4 was not conducted due to unavailability of teacher. According to Chairman Dept: of CS & IT, the class will be conducted next week. Alternatively, the class of OS was conducted by Mr. Zulfiqar Ali which was out of the schedule.

Attention IT-4 students.......

The Classes of BSIT 07-11 Semester 4 will be conducted from Monday, April 5 2010. All the students of  IT-4 are directed to attend their classes from 5 April 2010.

IT-3 is now IT-4.....

After the successful conduction of Terminal exam of BSIT 2007-2011, 3rd semester  students promoted to Semester 4. So from now onward students of BSIT 2007-2011 are Semester 4 Students.

Paper Conducted.....

BSIT 2007-2011 Semester 3 Terminal Papers of Marketing and Differential Equation was conducted on 29 and 30 March 2010 respectively.

Classes will remian suspended/ Paper canceled.....

All classes in the Department will remain suspended on March 27, 2010 and Ongoing paper of BSIT and BSCS 3rd Semester which was to be taken on Saturday, 27 March is rescheduled after the Last paper taken. For example if the Last paper was on Monday, then the canceled paper will be taken on Tuesday.

Ongoing papers of BSIT 3rd Semester, Paper of Computer Organization & Architecture and DBMS was taken.

Terminal Paper of Data Structure (BS IT 3)......

Papere of Data Structure of BSIT 3 Students conducted in IMS Hall. Paper contained 5 questions with 1 optional. Time allowed was 1.5 Hour. Paper was started at 12:30 P.M and was over at 2:00 P.M exact.

Class of Marketing and DBMS held on Monday March 11, 2010.

IT 3 Class of Computer Organization and Architecture, DBMS held .....

All the students of BSIT 3 are directed to attend the classes as their classes are being taken regularly. Class of Computer Organization and Architecture was taken by Madam Shafaq Saira. Class of DBMS was also taken by Sir Zulfiqar Ali.
Madam Shafaq Saira given the deadline to the students for submition of Reasearch Assignment (given before winter vacation) till 20th March as terminal exam is expected from March 22, 2010.

Topics of Classes taken were:
CO & A: Revision (Syllabus Completed for 3rd Semster)
DBMS: ERD and DFD making.

All the students of BSIT Semester 3 are informed that their Terminal Examination is expected from 20th March 2010. You are advised to attend final classes of the current semester from 8th March and also be prepared for the Terminal examination.

University Students Hostel opens soon, dates announced....

UOBIANS Group's Leading had a meeting with Chairman of the Department on the topic of commencement of classes. Chairman briefs that University Students Hostel is to be opened on Saturday, 6th March 2010 and for the educational year 2010/  commencement of classes, University will open on Monday, 8th March 2010. We request all the students of CS & IT Department to please attend their classes from Monday, 8th March 2010 onwards.

Asalam O Alaikum!

All the students of Department of CS & IT are informed that a group of students of BSIT 3rd Semster had a meeting with Chairman Department of CS & IT, Sir Khalid Hussain Badini for the commencement of classes.
According to the Chairman Dept: of CS & IT, the classes of all the students of MCS, BSIT and BSCS all semsters depend on re-opening of University Students Hostel. The classes will be taken after Students Hostel of UOB re-opens for students. The date of Student's Hostel opening will be annnounced soon on electronic and print media.

Morever, He said that final term exam of BSIT 3rd Semster students will be taken within 20th March, 2010 as soon as University Students Hostel opens.
