Results of several semesters announced by the department, short summary of some of the results is provided below, Complete result sheets will be uploaded soon. . .

BSCS 2008-12 3rd Semester Result (Currently 4th Semester):
Only 2 of 29 Students got passed.

Top Positions:
1. Arsalan Shabbir 498/600 & 2. Suleman Laiq 467/600
No 3rd Position as all of the other students are failed.

BSIT 2008-12 3rd Semester Result (Currently 4th Semester):
Only 10 of 43 Students got passed.

Top 5 Positions:
1. Abdul Rehman 509/600 Marks
2. Jamil Ahmad 489/600 Marks
3. Shoukat Ali 480/600 Marks
4. Kanwal Krishna 468/600 Marks
5. Mohammad Essa 467/600 Marks

Here is the list of the Dates & Timings of several sessions' exams:

BSCS/IT 2010-14, "1st Semester Terminal Exam" , from 27 June 2011, 12:30 P.M to 2:00 P.M
BSCS/IT 2009-13, "3rd Semester Mid-Term Exam" , from 27 June 2011, 10:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M
BSCS/IT 2008-12, "4th Semester Mid-Term Exam" , from 27 June 2011, 10:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M
BSCS/IT 2007-11, "6th Semester Mid-Term Exam" , from 27 June 2011, 11:00 A.M to 12:00 A.M

After 3 days of cancellation , Papers of several semesters in the department delayed for 1 week. Now expected to be from Monday, the 27th June 2011.

UoB - Educational activities will remain suspended for 3 Days from Thursday, June 2, 2011 and
expected to resume educational activities from Monday, June 6, 2011.

Date Sheets revised. . .

A few days ago, Exam Date Sheets of several sessions of BSCS/IT announced by the Department. The Date Sheets have been revised as the result of a meeting by all the Teaching Staff of CS & IT Department here on Saturday, the 28th May 2011 and it is decided that all existing Date Sheets are to be revised and the "Tentative Date" for the exam is now 20th June 2011.

So in short, the new expected date for the Mid-Term and Final Exam of several sessions of BSCS/IT is the 20th June 2011.

Convocation canceled. . .

10th Convocation of UoB is canceled due to unspecified reasons. The Convocation was to be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011. The new date of Convocation is expected to be announced soon.

After recent exam in the Department, several session students have been promoted to next semesters. So from now onwards,

• BSCS/IT 1st 2010-2014 remains still BSCS/IT 1st 2010-2014
• BSCS/IT 2nd 2009-2013 is now BSCS/IT 3rd Semester 2009-2013
• BSCS/IT 3rd 2008-2012 is now BSCS/IT 4th Semester 2008-2012
• BSCS/IT 5th 2007-2011 is now BSCS/IT 6th Semester 2007-2011
• BSCS/IT 7th 2006-2010 remains still BSCS/IT 7th 2006-2010.

This update taken from Department on 2nd March 2011 about classes conductance after Winter Vacations:

UOB resumes its academic activities from 1st March after ending of "Winter Vacations". Classes conductance in the Department depends upon the strength of students. However regular classes will be conducted from Monday, March 7, 2011 as most of the students of UOB are from outside the Quetta City and they depend upon the opening of "UOB Boys and Girls Hostel". Students are advised to attend the classes. UOB is open from 1st March 2011.

Good News. . . . Now for the very first time in Balochistan, MSCS/MSIT Program in UOB. Department of CS & IT, University of Balochistan is soon going to offer MS in Computer Science and MS in Information Technology late in 2011.

Great News for BSIT and BSCS students, you can continue your studies soon in CS & IT Deptt: of UOB
